Englehardt ES-1
Englehardt basses have been made in America since the 1930s. Formerly known as Kay, the company was bought by Englehardt in 1970 and continues to make fine quality basses. The Englehardt Bass is the instrument of choice for traveling and local gigging bands for all genres of music. The ES series has an ebony fingerboard and tailpiece, and is constructed with flamed maple on the back and sides with a spruce top. The laminate construction makes a very tough instrument, that has a powerful voice for string band styles of music. |

| The Englehardt is also one of the easiest uprights to play, due to its extremely small neck profile. We also offer free set-up of your new bass in our custom shop so you will get optimum playability and tone on your new instrument. The double bass is the foundation of your band. Don't depend on a poorly constructed Chinese instrument when a fine-quality American-made Englehardt is so affordable. $1,650 |

Englehardt M-1 Double Bass
This is the very popular, fine quality M-1 bass. It’s a favorite due to its great value. The fingerboard and tailpiece are of Rosewood and the body is Maple, with a spruce top. It has the very comfortable Englehardt, small neck profile, and that powerful Bass voice you need to carry your band in a noisy jam session or stage performance.
Englehardt is known for its playability and toughness. Ken is still playing a 1947 M-1. All of our basses are set up to your specs in our custom shop, before you take it home. Don't settle for a Chinese knockoff that has poor tone and a large, hard-to-play neck, when you can play an American-made M-1 for such a reasonable price. $1,195 |
