Ken Bailey Guitars
Peter Rowan Model
This is the guitar played by Peter Rowan in his bluegrass band. It has a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood body. The internal bracing is forward shifted in the prewar style and is made of strong Adirondack spruce. The sound hole is enlarged for greater mid and high range balance. The body is bound in curly maple to match the herringbone trim. The bound ebony fret board has only a 12th fret marker dot. This guitar is loud and well-balanced. It is the perfect choice for live jamming and stage performance. Mr Rowan chose this guitar because his band plays through microphones only — without stage monitors — and they must hear each other live. Bailey guitars are hand-built one at a time, and they sound better than any factory guitar. If it does not make you supremely happy we will refund your money.
P.R. Model $3,000 |

Ken Bailey Guitars
Bailey OMF Model
This guitar is built from the OM Martin pattern, but we enlarged the sound chamber by using a dreadnaught side pattern. It give the guitar more overall volume and bass. The back and sides of this one are Brazilian Rosewood, which is highly figured and unique. The top is master grade Adirondack spruce with an enlarged sound hole. The bridge and fret board are Brazilian Rosewood and are trimmed with highly figured snakewood. We finished out this exotic wood combination with a set of gold Waverly tuners with snakewood buttons and snakewood bridge pins. This guitar looks and sounds awesome. Brazilian Rosewood gets more expensive and harder to get everyday. This guitar is reasonably priced at $4,500 |

Ken Bailey Guitars
Bailey Model 000-12
Ken is a fan of the 12-fret guitar, and this is his favorite design. This one has a Sitka spruce top and is braced with Adirondack spruce. The body is highly figured Indian Rosewood trimmed with Curly Koa binding. We used an old-style pyramid bridge and a Brazilian Rosewood bridge plate to give it a punchy, clear tone that can break through a noisy jam session. (Jam sessions break out a lot around the shop and hold up production) This guitar can be made with a slot head or regular peg head and any kind of wood combination. If you are a fan of the 12-fret sound, you will like this guitar. Rosewood and Sitka models are $2,700 |
